weekend moments.

<span class=
it was a rainy and cloudy weekend in the northeast, but the flowers in bloom made up for it.
<span class=
i met a fellow blogger for coffee at one of my favorite cafes, and it was oh-so lovely.

<span class=
this was my first time meeting lynette, but it felt like we were old friends. i love meeting blog readers.

the taste of watermelon reminds me of summer. maybe when the sun comes back, we'll devour a whole one just the two of us.

<span class=
but in the meantime... what's a sunday supper without a fresh (and still warm) baguette? yum.

so tell me, how was your weekend? :) did you enjoy some sunshine?

winter wonderland

wow. the wonderfully talented ida never ceases to amaze me. these photographs are absolutely magical, and as soon as they appear in her etsy shop i'm going to snatch them up!

some days i am just blown away by the talent in the blogosphere. today is one of those days. thank you, ida.

guess who i met today...

...celia!

i flew to los angeles this morning (it's oh so sunny here - huzzah!) and this evening celia and i met up for some wine and snacks. we shared a couple of fabulous hours chatting about everything under the sun, and it was really amazing to meet a fellow blogger face to face.

celia is exactly like her blog: sweet, beautiful, stylish and down to earth. celia, thank you so much for our lovely time together. you seriously rock.

now i am off to sleep diagonally in my hotel bed. i hope you are all having a good start to the week.

night night!

happy monday!

good morning, loves! how are you?

sorry i was away yesterday, but simon and i spent a long weekend in maine. it was so nice to be snuggled up by the fire and playing with the dogs...

now i am back to work, with french vanilla coffee in hand and my space heater on. it's definitely fall!

first things first: the winner of the beautiful art from last week is... elizabeth from oh eliza! congratulations! :) thanks to everyone for participating and providing such great comments. piia is so grateful and happy for all the positive feedback.

second, i want to say a special welcome to all of my new readers! yay! you are all so lovely for supporting this journey of mine, and reading my little posts. you truly make my day. thank you for being here!

i have some fun posts for you later today, so stay tuned. :)

not your granny's bunting.

it seems that bunting is all the rage. and i can see why! isn't it fun?

here's a fabulous step-by-step tutorial made by the lovely erin.

crunch crunch.

dear friends,
i cordially invite you to meet me at the cafe on the corner. we'll eat baguettes with cheese, sip some bubbly, admire each other's jewelry, and talk about how much we love tights.

see you soon?

etsy love.

as promised, let's talk about something cheerful. this vintage etsy shop makes me smile.

so clever, right? i've never seen items presented in such a fun, unique way.

p.s. speaking of etsy, don't miss olivia's new store filled with lovely little cake stands. so dreamy!

inside the box.

maybe i'm late to the game, but today i fell in love with street artist aakash nihalani who tapes isometric rectangles and squares around new york city. the
graphics highlight the contours and geometry of the city encouraging new yorkers to see the various shapes and grids in their neighborhoods. very cool.

some days i am a street-artist wanna-be... today is one of those days.

microwave girl.

i adore shopping for greeting cards, but truth be told, i'm pretty picky. there is so much boring, cheesy stuff out there!

i recently found these cards on etsy by microwave girl and they are exactly my style. woot!

where do you buy your interesting and funny greeting cards? maybe we should start an awesome greeting card collective!

my downtown.

i was so honored when erin from reading my tea leaves asked me to participate in her photography series where she asks various bloggers to capture images from their downtown.

i ended up with photographs around the theme of infrastructure, and had tons of fun doing it. if you are interested, you can see more over at erin's blog. enjoy!
