a few weeks ago, we met up with our wedding photographer, meredith, and took these pictures in a park near our home. it was so much fun.

meredith is not only sweet, but she's also super talented. we played around with a chalkboard a little and then just took advantage of the setting sun. (oh and in case you're wondering..."jeg elsker deg" is norwegian for "i love you".)

my favorite part about this whole experience was seeing how well meredith captured us as a couple, and how comfortable we felt with her. i can't wait for the big day...!

p.s. i was feeling a little shy telling you all this, but these pictures were also featured on ruffled! whoa.

p.p.s. i felt like i was wearing so much makeup, (in fact, i put on much more than i wear on a daily basis) and yet, i still look like i'm not wearing any... haha. is it just me, or does this happen to you too?

    These are so wonderful. I have always been sort of so so on engagement photos, but these are lovely and natural. And yes, I always feel like the make-up is PILED on, but in photos does not look as if it is.

    you look gorgeous, nina. these photos are beautiful. the sun setting, the golden leaves, the yellow scarf... it is perfect. my favorites are the last two, of simon kissing your forehead and then with his arms around you. but you two look so happy and in love in all of them.

    pps, about the makeup... i have the same trouble, and i'll tell you the best decision on my wedding day was to wear fake eyelashes. they don't look fake at all once you're all made up, and they actually show up in the photos and really make your eyes pop. totally worth it!

    I love these photos! When we did our engagement photos, I felt like I was wearing too much makeup. Then I got the proofs and realized I should have been wearing even more!

    I never wear makeup so I was mortified by how much the makeup artist put on me for my wedding - she said that she was going light, yikes. But it's true I didn't look overdone in the pictures and neither do you, you look great.
