on friday, i popped into one of my favorite vintage shops in davis square. as i was running my fingers along the stacks of old records and daydreaming about owning pieces of the dusty furniture, i spotted this sweet little car and truck. i'm still not sure if they were left behind by a busy toddler, or if they were for sale... but i love them. can't you just imagine the little hands that have made them go zoom zoom across the floor?
p.s. we are not big into valentine's day in our house, but in classic simon style, he arranged these gorgeous flowers on the dining room table for me to find. :) the scent of the lilies has now filled up the condo, and i am a happy girl. happy valentine's day!

if only those cars could talk ~ can you imagine the stories of sweet little chubby fingers and 'roads' they have traveled?

ReplyDeletenina, jared busted out his vintage matchbox cars from his childhood (of which he has many many) and BOTH he and jonah LOVE playing with them. the older ones are the coolest because they have so many moving parts and the doors open. ;) you scored a great find! hope you are well and happy v-day to you and yours!
ReplyDeletemichelle, that's so cool! i actually didn't end up buying them. i didn't know if they were for sale. but i have the picture. :) hope you have a great vday too! :)

ReplyDeleteLovely photo, esp the blue in the corner.
ReplyDeleteWe're not too big on Valentines too, I usually just bake something chocolaty. And we also have a red stone heart that we give to each other again and again whenever some occasion rises :-)
