happy december!

today i'm taking a little break from gift guides to share my new favorite song. i heard it on the radio in the car yesterday and immediately started humming along.

now that i am teaching yoga more regularly, (more on that soon), i've been having so much fun building playlists and coming up with songs that are yoga-appropriate, while still not being too new agey. *

mind you, the video is odd. but i still like the song, so here you go!

* i actually don't mind new agey music in moderation.

  1. whenever i visit my sister in memphis we hit up her neighborhood studio. the instructor has the best compilations. last time there was a mix of alanis morissette, tlc, and other completely unexpected artists. i was there for the 4th of July as well, and it was a mix of bruce springsteen, john mellencamp, etc. surprisingly, it's not distracting at all. if anything it reminds you to not take yourself so seriously during class. good luck with your mixes.

  3. Nice music - have you checked out the Norwegian group "Secret Garden"....quiet beautiful music and not too new-agey. I use their music in many of my classes!
Have a wonderful December (har du adventskalender :-) )?
